I want to be a positive and active member in my community. This internship is a great stepping-stone to an eventual law enforcement career.

I applied for this internship because I wanted to gain real-world experience in this work environment and to learn the basic skills of working in construction for a future career in the trades.

As a young high school student, I am still trying to determine which types of career opportunities interest me most. This internship was an opportunity to explore a career area of interest.

I love the variety of places we are able to visit (in the Clatsop WORKS program) and getting the chance to talk to different community members who are passionate about their career fields. In my opinion, applying for the internship might have been the best decision I’ve ever made, for multiple reasons. One, the work environment has been amazing for a beginner to learn, and two, how well put together the program is. Overall, I’d rate my experience a 10/10 and I’m very appreciative of the opportunity.

We’re lucky to have the Clatsop WORKS program as I wouldn’t have had this type of opportunity without this internship program!

This internship is giving me real-life experience in working with law enforcement and the public. I am excited to be learning firsthand about enforcing the law.

I applied for an internship opportunity to help guide me toward a future career and academic endeavors. My current career dream is doing something community-resource related, primarily helping others.
